GENTILEZA is/was a sound art project developed by Sara Pereira & Catarina Miranda.
Started in 2005, it mainly consists of a long term research, relating sound, visual, performance and speech. Exploring Voice as a living organism through wet-dry-bird-stone textures and resonances in the body and outside of it, through its echoe. Producing sound carpets through the recording and processing of self made sound objects, found objects, nature objects, sustained by digital deep drones.

Supression and Existence
Gentileza’s members shared a recurrent dream, during childhood, referring to a dark abstract place with a spinning shape in the center, massive and white or luminous and immaterial. This landscape, contained in itself a deep low pain, or sometimes, sharp and acidic, invisible. There was a continuous distant milky sound, that could become incisive and close.
Biting Song was performed live at Performa Festival, HAU; The Knot Festival and Altes Finanzamt, 2010 Berlin; and at Espacio Abisal, 2011 Bilbao.
